Of all the New Year’s resolutions I’ve ever attempted, only one has ever held my attention long enough to stick around and become a good habit. I started my journal on January 1st, 2015 and have managed to write down at least one thing that I am grateful for each and every day.
This isn’t a new age, wishy-washy, dirty hippy journal where butterflies and rainbows flow from the tip of my pen. There were some days where the only thing I could think of to be grateful for was hot running water. and that I woke up! I’m not downplaying hot water, but making a list of everything that I am grateful for sometimes got difficult!
Lots of great things have come of this journal, and I intend on continuing the daily ritual in the years to come!
